The gold museum is located in the Aduana house in Santa Marta; this is a restored colonial house located in the Bolivar square. Here they exhibit more than 560 ethnological and archaeological objects and have a collection of more than 34,000 metal objects and 20,000 of other materials that are considered the most important sample of pre-Hispanic goldsmithing in the world.
